Maternal Health Hub
Pregnancy and early childhood programs for those who need them the most.
Supporting, Connecting, & Educating Expectant + New Families In Need

DIAPER BANK
1 in 3 children experiences diaper need. While diapers and wipes are always our most needed items, some families often struggle with other essentials to help their babies thrive. At a diaper duty popup, families will learn about their options for prenatal care, birth, and newborn care while learning new skills to care for themselves and their family.
LACTATION SUPPORT SPECIALISTS
Breastfeeding is the number one feeding choice for infants worldwide. Our Cocoa Latte® support group and services aim to increase breastfeeding confidence and provide information, tips, and techniques to help continue the breastfeeding journey. The group is for anyone in a mother's village.
MATERNAL WELLNESS SUPPORT
If you are pregnant or postpartum with a child under the age of two, our maternal hub is here. Urban Baby Beginnings uses a village approach to address common issues surrounding maternal mental health by offering programs like UBB's Sisters Keeper's Mothering Circles.
RESOURCE NAVIGATION
Through our maternal hub, pregnancy and postpartum care coordinators help support mothers as they search for resources that provide perinatal care and early childhood education. Coordinators provide evidence-based education, resources, and support to UBB's members. Their goal is to provide or locate accessible and relevant programs for pregnant and postpartum women and their children, address the complex needs of growing families, and enhance parent-infant attachment which promotes bonding and healthy learning experiences.
DOULA CONCIERGE
More than 1 in 5 women (22%) report not receiving enough information about what to expect after birth, leaving them unprepared for postpartum recovery (CDC, Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System). 60% of mothers say they would have benefited from more support and education about newborn care, breastfeeding, and their own recovery during the postpartum period (National Perinatal Association).
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT & DOULA TRAINING
The program educates, mentors, and guides students, and provides enriching experiences to increase their expertise in maternal child health professions.
